About

July 9th, 2009

Ah, the famous “About” page. Welcome to my web site. Welcome dear friend. Sit down, relax. Have a look around.

2009 has been a fabulous year so far. I set a goal to take a 2 month vacation to Spain and Portugal. It was an ambitious trip, and I didn’t know exactly how I was going to pull it off. But I did, and it was easier than expected.

I got the go ahead to take time off work. Tickets were purchased. Villas and hotel rooms were reserved. A lot was left up in the air, and I did quite well handling changes while I was there. What a fabulous trip. But it wasn’t a once in a lifetime trip. It was the beginning of a new plan. Six months a year in Spain. How on Earth am I going to do THAT?

So again, have a look around. Ask questions. Leave a comment. The more the merrier. And I hope watching me go through my journey is somehow helpful to you as you go through yours. Let’s meet for a cerveza in Barcelona next time I’m there!

    Hi there,

You started following me on Twitter (@SevillaTapas) and this morning I was inspired by your post to make a bit of cash by starting up an online Cafe Press store. Now I just have to come up with some designs.

How’s the sabbatical going? I’m from Toronto (well, originally Winnipeg). Sometimes miss TO – lived there for ten years before moving to England, then Spain.

If you are planning on coming to Seville feel free to get in touch for help/info.

    Hi there Azahar,

I did visit Sevilla earlier this year for a very short time as I was on my way from Nerja/Malaga to Algarve, Portugal. Stayed overnight there, drove around your city and wished I had another few days. Beautiful architecture, lovely city to walk around.

I am in Toronto now. I hope to spend 6 months a year here, and 6 months a year in Spain. I’ll let you know next time I am in Sevilla.

    Scott

Great. I’ll take you on a tapas tour if you like. Seville is best seen on foot.
